PortAventura today and tomorrow
PortAventura was created in 1995 as a theme park. However, it has continually grown since its inception until it has become what it is today: a leading theme park in Spain with over 3,6 million visitors per year.
We have gone from being a theme park to a resort over the course of these years, with three four-star hotels, a Beach Club, three golf courses and two theme parks, one of them aquatic.
In 2009 PortAventura Resort will keep growing to become the most important family, business and residential destiny in Europe. During this following season, a new four stars hotel located in the Far West area, Hotel Gold River, and a Convention Centre with capacity for 4,000 people, will be joined to the Resort.
